eFocus Marketing is a CRM and lifecycle strategy consultancy working inside Braze for app-first and enterprise brands. We work inside the platform, not just around it: Canvas journey strategy, data architecture audits and cross-channel implementation for teams running push, in-app, email, SMS and web through Braze.
Where we help
Strategy and audits: Canvas journey audits, data point and custom attribute reviews, currents and event-tracking audits, deliverability and sending domain reviews.
Automation and integration: Canvas builds across push, in-app messaging, email, SMS and webhooks, Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud integration, Connected Content and API-based personalisation, Shopify and other commerce data feeds.
Training and enablement: team masterclasses and hands-on workshops, from £500 to £3,000 depending on scope and duration.
How we work
We start with a Canvas and data audit before touching a single journey: what attributes and events are actually flowing into Braze, where currents are configured, and where messaging logic has grown unwieldy over time. Many Braze accounts also need engineering resource to unlock properly, so part of our role is scoping exactly what your in-house or agency developers need to build, rather than leaving that gap unaddressed.
Where Braze isn’t the right fit
Braze is built for app-first and enterprise brands with real engineering capacity and complex, high-volume cross-channel programmes. If you’re running a smaller ecommerce operation without dedicated developer resource, a platform built natively around your commerce stack will get you further, faster.
Is Braze worth it for a mid-size brand, or only enterprise?
Braze scales down further than its reputation suggests, but it needs engineering resource to do it well. If you have developer capacity to build and maintain Canvas logic and data integrations, mid-size app-first brands get real value. Without that resource, the platform’s power goes largely unused.
How does Braze pricing actually work?
Braze prices on monthly active users (MAU) plus the specific channels and modules you use, such as Canvas Flow, Currents or Content Cards. There’s no published self-serve tier, so most quotes are negotiated directly with Braze and vary considerably by usage and contract length.
Is Braze better than Klaviyo for ecommerce?
Not usually. Klaviyo is built natively around ecommerce data and integrates directly with Shopify and similar platforms out of the box. Braze is stronger for app-first, mobile-led engagement across push and in-app messaging, and needs more setup work to handle ecommerce data well.
Does Braze integrate natively with Salesforce?
Yes, Braze has native integrations with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, alongside Connected Content and API options for pulling in data from virtually any external source. This makes it a strong fit for brands already running Salesforce as their CRM backbone.
What does a Braze Canvas audit involve?
We review your existing Canvas journeys for logic gaps, redundant paths and entry-point conflicts, check which data points and custom attributes are actually populated and used, and assess your currents setup and deliverability configuration. You get a prioritised list of fixes and opportunities, not just an observation report.
Do we need in-house engineers to run Braze properly?
For most meaningful use cases, yes, at least some developer resource. Braze rewards teams who can build custom Canvas Flow steps, maintain API integrations and manage data points properly. Part of our job is scoping exactly what that resource needs to deliver, so you’re not guessing.
