[panel-header]Q: I’ve just merged my email lists in Mailchimp. Does this automatically eliminate duplicate subscribers? And if not, what’s the easiest way to to this myself?

Yes, this happens automatically – there are no duplicate emails in the same list 🙂

[panel-header]Q: What is a good spacing on autoresponders? Do you think they should be back to back over a week or spread them out? I had them back to back in the past and they got opened, but I really wanted to expand and make a larger “wooing” set.

Great question!

As a basic rule of thumb I advise 7-9 touchpoints over 2/3 weeks – so sending every 2/3 days. BUT, if you’ve had results sending daily and you have valuable content in each email – do it!

My example is a starting point I set my clients off from and suggest testing from there to get the right frequency for their audience and the objectives of the series

Q: I am looking to put an email sign up form on my website. I currently have Constant Contact to where the leads can be directed to. Is there a software or website that can provide me with an HTML template to direct leads to? I have a wordpress site and want it to look something like this:

A:Great question!

The good news is, there are lots of different plugins available for WordPress. I personally use one called ‘Hybrid Connect’ that I recommend checking out!

Q: How can I plan an effective email sequence?

A: Great question.

The first thing I would suggest is to ensure you know the objective of the series overall, and then break it down to each individual email – what do you want to achieve with each email throughout the series. E.g. adding value/introducing yourself, indtroducing your product/service/make a sale etc.

You also want to then figure out what you want to say and when – this will come from the objectives you want to achieve. So for example, you may decide you want to have something that runs with only 4 emails (1 a week for 4 weeks for example). Or send an email every 3 days for 2/3 weeks.

It depends on your objectives and if you want to sell a product at the end/ reactivate subscribers/ follow up a sale etc. Hope that helps a little!
